Introduction

Welcome to Last Resort Rent a Car (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our car rental services, website, and any related tools or applications (“Services”). Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using any of our Services, you signify your agreement to be bound by these Terms.

Rental Eligibility

• Age: The minimum age for renters is 21. Renters between 21-24 may be subject to additional surcharges.
• Valid Driver’s License: All renters must possess a valid, government-issued driver’s license and present it at the time of rental.
• Insurance: Renters are required to carry adequate insurance coverage.
• Good Driving Record: We reserve the right to deny rentals to individuals with unsatisfactory driving records.

Reservations and Payments

• Reservations: Reservations are available through our website, by phone, or in person.
• Payment: Accepted payment methods include major credit/debit cards. Full payment may be required at the time of reservation or rental pickup.
• Taxes and Fees: Fees, surcharges, and applicable taxes will be added to the rental rate.
• Cancellations: Refer to your reservation for specific cancellation policies, including refund and fee details.

Vehicle Use

• Authorized Drivers: Only renters listed on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
• Geographical Restrictions: Vehicles may have geographic usage restrictions. Please refer to your rental agreement.
• Prohibited Activities: Vehicles must not be used for:
  • Engaging in illegal activity
  • Off-roading or on unpaved surfaces
  • Towing or pushing other objects
  • Participating in races or speed contests
  • Transporting hazardous substances
• Condition Upon Return: Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as rented, with a full tank of fuel. Failure to do so may result in extra charges.

Damages and Accidents

• Renter Responsibility: You are liable for damages to the rented vehicle, whether resulting from an accident, theft, vandalism, or otherwise.
• Damage Waiver (Optional): We offer a Damage Waiver (DW), which may decrease your financial responsibility for damage and loss.
• Accident Reporting: All accidents must be reported to us immediately and to the police.

Late Returns and Extensions

• Late Fees: Vehicles returned past the agreed-upon return time will incur late fees.
• Extensions: Rental extensions may be granted only with our prior approval, subject to vehicle availability.

Customer Responsibility

• Smoking/Pets: Smoking and pets are prohibited in our vehicles. Violators will be subject to cleaning fees.
• Traffic Violations and Fines: Renters are responsible for all traffic violations or parking fines incurred during the rental period.
• Lost Articles: We are not responsible for items left behind in vehicles.

Governing Law

The laws of the State of Arizona govern these Terms. Disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable legal processes.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Services following any modifications implies acceptance.
